Love Great Beer

Celebrating Craft Beer with Each Batch

We love great beer. Our small-batch, handcrafted approach celebrates the art of brewing. Starting on the foundation of traditional styles, we take it up a notch with specialty spices, aromatic hops and increased alcohol. That’s how we create big ales. We take great pride in Indy as a growing beer city and we’re honored to share our respect for beer with you.

It’s our mission to brew the best beer in Indy and to do all we can to add to the beer culture of our Indiana city. We fill growlers, serve pints and offer carryout bottles from our downtown taproom. Indiana City beer is also available at select craft beer bars around the city.

What’s in a Name?

Indiana City is the literal definition of “Indianapolis” and it’s a statement of pride in Indy’s vibrant arts scene and rich heritage. Indiana City celebrates a promising future for the Circle City, one pint at a time.

The Arts & Beer Culture

We understand the important role of visual arts in the craft beer experience. When you smell and taste a beer you’re experiencing the artistry of the brewer who made it. The visual aesthetic of the label arts or the tap handle it was poured from affects that experience too. Done well, we believe visual art heightens that experience and leads to an even greater respect for beer. We combine our vision with the extreme talent of Aaron Scamihorn (RONLEWHORN) to create the perfect marriage between taste and aesthetic through our labels and media.

Indiana City is an outlet for local artists to display their work, perform, collaborate and expand local creative expression. The visual arts are woven into every beer we brew. Each First Friday of the month we feature a new, local artist who adds both beauty and conversation to our taproom. We are home to the Craft Brew Doodle Crew, an extremely passionate and talented group of artists who create themed collaborative art pieces in a round robin style experience. Catch them every third Thursday in our brewery taproom.

Tomorrow we welcome @cinsoindy #CafeInquiry from 7-9pm…Topic: Many diseases can damage our eyes. Several of these involve abnormal growth of the blood vessels that normally nourish our light-sensing cells. These diseases – such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration – can lead to blindness if untreated. We will use these diseases as a starting point to talk about how the eye works, as well as modern drug discovery with a focus on the eye. Along the way, we will discuss how the eye is structured, why it has blood vessels, what can go wrong, and how we go about searching for leads towards new drugs to fix these (and other) problems. Eye research is worth seeing!..Café Inquiry is a monthly event taking place at various establishments around town. Join us for fun, casual discussions about science and research taking place right here in Central Indiana. Café Inquiry is hosted by Central Indiana Science Outreach in collaboration with the Center for Inquiry…Speaker Bio: Tim Corson is an associate professor in the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology at Indiana University School of Medicine
