Love Great Beer

Elevating Craft Beer in Indianapolis

Inspired by the ethos of the American craft beer revolution, we’re dedicated to elevating the craft beer scene of Indianapolis with each beer we create. All Indiana City beer is unfiltered for full flavor and aroma, and brewed to the highest standards, with the freshest and finest ingredients.

Located on the East side of downtown Indy in the historic Bottling House of the former Home Brewing Company, the Indiana City taproom has evolved over the years, to become a hot spot for concerts and private events. In the taproom the taproom offers a wide variety of Indiana City beer on tap, served by the pint and available for growler fills along with year-round and limited release cans. Indiana City is also available at beer shops, bars and restaurants throughout greater Indianapolis.

What’s in a Name?

Indiana City is the literal definition of “Indianapolis” and it’s a statement of pride in Indy’s vibrant arts scene and rich heritage. Indiana City celebrates a promising future for the Circle City, one pint at a time.

The Arts & Beer Culture

We understand the important role of visual arts in the craft beer experience. When you smell and taste a beer you’re experiencing the artistry of the brewer who made it. The visual aesthetic of the label arts or the tap handle it was poured from affects that experience too. Done well, we believe visual art heightens that experience and leads to an even greater respect for beer. We combine our vision with the extreme talent of Aaron Scamihorn (RONLEWHORN) to create the perfect marriage between taste and aesthetic through our labels and media.

Indiana City is an outlet for local artists to display their work, perform, collaborate and expand local creative expression. The visual arts are woven into every beer we brew. Indiana City is home to the Craft Brew Doodle Crew, an extremely passionate and talented group of artists who create themed collaborative art pieces in a round robin style experience. Catch them every third Thursday here in the taproom and find there intricate artistic creations wrapped around many of our limited release cans.

“Oh we’re doing real exquisite corpse!” Third Thursdays are for @craftbrewdoodlecrew – this month the crew sketched and inked up some fun head and body mash-ups with the intention of making mix-and-match stackable cans. Good thing we got the math out of the way early on. Another night of craft brew and fun art in the books!

We all know the cliche: A picture is worth a thousand words… well these two beautiful tanks hold two future beer releases (Eastsider Apple Ale and Cashmere Brüt IPA), which is to say you’re really looking at well over 14,000 future pints – that will enjoyed on draft or in cans – pints that will spur laughter, spark smiles and make for lots of happy people. Cheers to that! #lovegreatbeer #indianacitybrewing #fermentation #brewerylife #craftbeer

Eastsider Apple Ale debuts next Wednesday 4/17 in cans and on draft. This collaboration is a refreshing combination of beer and cider. We brewed a pale ale accented with a bit of spicy rye, fermented it with premium apple juice from @ashandelmcider and the finished product is a crisp, crave-worthy ale with a dry apple finish. Cheers to 2 East-siders coming together to make and share this great beer. .Label art courtesy @ronlewhorn .#lovegreatbeer #indianacitybrewing #eastsideindy #us40 #appleale #cider #craftbeerart #graf
