Creative Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a creative professional with a sharp eye for detail to join our passionate team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent graphic design and photography skills, be a social media guru and have a proven ability to develop plans and execute campaigns to meet the marketing goals and objectives of the brewery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design online and print marketing to promote our brand, the beer we brew and brewery events.
  • Prepare and send email marketing campaigns to consistently inform our customers about new products, brewery news and events.
  • Strategically manage the brewery’s social media channels using data and planning to target, grow and engage our audience.
  • Manage online events calendars to include upcoming beer releases and events.
  • Prepare and disseminate press-releases to local and national media outlets.
  • Develop and implement taproom and online shop marketing strategies.
  • Work directly with our branding/label artist.
  • Conceptualize and create exceptional online marketing campaigns to include video and photography.
  • Create in-store and point-of-purchase marketing materials for our wholesale customers.
  • Identify opportunities to partner with other local businesses and organizations.
  • Collaborate with community partners to help improve our near-eastside neighborhood.
  • Work with concert promoters to help facilitate booking and promotion of Bottling House concerts.
  • Collaborate with the brewing, taproom, sales and distribution teams on beer release and event logistics.
  • Represent Indiana City in a professional manner at outside events and festivals.
  • Assist in recruitment and training of Brand Ambassadors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of craft beer styles, the industry and consumer demographics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design or other related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of development and hands-on implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Portfolio to demonstrate a strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Take initiative, work with minimal supervision and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Goal-focused, with excellent time and priority management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven planning.
  • Experience with video and audio editing.
  • Proficient with WordPress, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Experience with UnTappd, Eventbrite and MailChimp is ideal.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Public/media/social media relations experience.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, including large format and screen printing.
  • Experience working within defined brand standards.
  • Experience in the beer industry is ideal.
  • Work occasional weekend and weeknight events.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Willing to travel on occasion.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Director of Sales & Distribution

Director of Sales & Distribution

As the wholesale side of our business continues to grow, we are seeking a well-qualified individual to guide and direct that growth at a management level. The Director of Sales & Distribution is responsible for all wholesale efforts, with an emphasis on hands-on sales and customer-focused self-distribution of our cans, kegs and bottles to our growing list of bar, restaurant and retail accounts throughout metropolitan Indianapolis, as well as evaluating and selecting new markets within the state as we continue to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the sales and distribution operations to meet wholesale revenue goals in coordination with increases in beer production.
  • Actively work the Indianapolis market.
  • Recruit all sales and distribution staff and provide effective ongoing training
  • Coordinate with the Head Brewer and distribution team on production schedule and logistics.
  • Process and approve invoices and payments, and track expenses and credits related to our wholesale operation.
  • Oversee current markets, evaluate potential new markets and manage new market launches.
  • Develop management-level reports to frequently review wholesale performance with brewery leadership.
  • Develop and communicate programs, distribution updates, pricing, and promotional activity internally.
  • Implement Brand Ambassador program, including recruitment and training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is ideal.
  • 5+ years of previous sales management in beer or beverage industry. Distributor experience a big plus.
  • Proven ability to use data and analytics to develop insights.
  • Successful background working in a team environment and managing people
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve company business plan goals, including volume, distribution, and profitability
  • Outstanding people development, and management, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and sales skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Ekos Brewmaster, Quickbooks, Fintech and Excel is ideal
  • Extensive car travel required.
  • Must have a valid, clean Driver’s License
  • This is a full-time position. Hours and days will vary according to business need, and will include nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver packages up to 165 pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Must have a passion for the craft beer industry.

Taproom Server

Taproom Server

Indiana City is hiring part-time staff to serve our taproom customers and at events outside of the brewery. If you are knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer and love interacting with customers, we want you on our growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assure that all taproom guests are having a great time
  • Fill growlers, serve pints and sell carryout cans, bottles and merchandise
  • Educate taproom guests on beer styles, beer history and Indiana City
  • Communicate upcoming brewery events with taproom guest
  • Execute taproom opening and closing procedures–this includes cleaning
  • Represent Indiana City at beer festivals and events
  • Work 2-5 shifts per week, which may include weekends, evenings and some holidays
  • Other responsibilities may include social media and helping to plan and market events
  • Staff will be trained on our POS system, our beer and pouring techniques. Although not required, the best candidate will have bartending or serving experience.
