Check out Indiana City Brewing in this opinion piece in today’s Indy Star. Historian James Glass writes about our historic location. http://indy.st/Ty8c5z

Our wooden ceiling is looking good! another day perched up on the scaffolding tomorrow.

You did it. And we're so happy you did.

We’ve found a home!

Indiana City will bring beer back to the building located at 24 Shelby Street on Indy’s near East side. This building was the Bottling House for The Home Brewing Company a pre-prohibition brewery that operated in Indy 1880–1920. There’s so much beer history in the building and we love the neighborhood.

This photo was taken at Daly and Shelby looking Northwest. We’ll be brewing in the South half of the building.

Help Kickstart Indiana City!

We’re starting off small with big plans for the future. Your contribution helps get us to the starting line– our beer in your glass. We’ve set a goal on Kickstarter.com to raise $34,000 by August 10th. And an investor is matching that goal when we reach it. Your contribution helps us to purchase the equipment we need to get started.

Kickstarter.com is a crowd-funding tool to help launch creative projects. It operates on an all-or-nothing funding model where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands. You’ll get a reward for every level of support, from an Indiana City sticker to formulating a recipe with us and brewing it at the brewery. Your contribution at any level and spreading the word will help Indiana City open its doors.

Thanks for your support!

Black Market is a come-as-you-are gastropub at the East End of Mass Ave. Pretty sure everyone at Black Market is a beer geek–bartenders, cooks, wait staff. Chris only puts the best craft beer he can find on tap. Black Market is located at 922 Massachusetts Avenue. Online at blackmarketindy.net

Tomlinson Taproom pours Indiana brewed craft beer from the second floor of City Market in downtown Indianapolis. Look for Indiana City to be on tap at Tomlinson this fall. Thanks Kristin!

Red Lion pours only the good stuff and they’re expanding their tap count to serve-up an even greater variety. Later this year, you’ll find Indiana City beer exclusively at better beer bars in Indy like Red Lion Grog House.

Red Lion is located at 1043 Virginia Ave in the lower level of the Murphy Arts Building in Fountain Square.
